Yes, we do offer a laying service, our team has over 50 years of turf laying experience with staff that have won gold at the Chelsea Flower Show and the World Skills UK landscaping event.

After laying new turf it will typically lay dormant for a few days until the roots begin to shoot into the ground. In the summer months this could almost be instantly so we advise you to give it the first mow whenever it is required. If you have been watering a lot you will need to decrease the amount of water so the ground is not too soft and raise the mower to the highest setting and gradually lower each mow.

You will need to water your new turf for 2-3 weeks. The amount of water needed will depend on the weather conditions. As a rule of thumb you need to keep it well watered but not flooded until it has fully rooted in. During extremely hot temperatures it is important to regularly check. It may need watering as many as 4 or more times a day.

Turf will usually be harvested in square meter or square yard rolls so measuring your garden in this way will tell you how many rolls you need. However, our experienced team can happily help convert any measurements and advise how many rolls you need.
